Rise Forty is a year-long portrait project featuring 40 women over 40 — women who have lived, changed, rebuilt, grown, and evolved.

This is not about perfection or posing. It’s about being seen — for who you are now, and everything you’ve carried to get here.

What Rise Forty Is

 

Rise Forty is a curated portrait experience designed to honor the wisdom, confidence, and self-acceptance that comes with life experience.

Each woman’s session is thoughtfully planned around what she wants to celebrate, document, or honor in this chapter — whether that’s:

  • Personal growth or self-acceptance

  • A fitness or health journey

  • A new business, career shift, or creative chapter

  • Rebuilding after loss or major life change

  • Confidence, strength, and clarity in midlife

Sessions may include a blend of headshots, personal branding, editorial-style portraits, beauty, boudoir, fine art, fitness, or lifestyle imagery, depending on what best tells your story.

Rise Forty Art Exhibit

Over the course of the next year, each woman will be photographed with intention — and together, these portraits will culminate in a curated Rise Forty Art Exhibit Event in February 2027 celebrating the stories, growth, and evolution of every participant.

This is more than a single photoshoot.

It’s a collective body of work honoring women in this powerful season of life — and your portrait will be part of something lasting.

Why an application?

Rise Forty is intentionally limited.

I’m photographing 40 women over the course of one year, with a small number of sessions available each month to ensure every experience receives the care and attention it deserves.

The application allows me to:

  • Get to know you and your story

  • Ensure this experience is the right fit for both of us

  • Create a project that feels meaningful, cohesive, and aligned

The application is simple and low-pressure — not an essay, and not a commitment to book.

  • Professional hair and makeup on the day of your shoot

  • A fully guided studio portrait session

  • One 16×20 wall portrait, ready to frame and displayed as part of the Rise Forty Art Exhibit along with corresponding digital image

  • An invitation to the Rise Forty Art Exhibit in February 2027, celebrating every woman who participated

As a thank-you to the women who step forward early, the first five Rise Forty participants will receive an additional $500 image credit to use toward their portrait collection.
